Backstory on this book!
A Note from Christy:
When my son was first starting to read well I bought him a book called I Can Read God's Word. He was so excited to be able to read a book like that! He ended up flying through it so fast I was back at the store very quickly. When I realized that there were many I can read types of Bibles but really no devotionals I knew what needed to be done! I had worked with Crystal on another book project and she knew so much as she had not only written devotionals BUT for the I Can Read brand. I knew she would know all the "rules" for writing in this style. The previous book I worked on with her was narrative and didn't have such strict rules. I asked her if she would like to write it with me and thankfully she loved the idea! After writing 70+ children's books, she knew just what to do. I am blessed to have gotten to write this with her!
